Dunkley Return to England Squad

The 25-year-old batsman is the only player in the squad who has recently played against Pakistan. Dunkley, who last played for England in April 2024 on the New Zealand tour, returned to the team on the back of some impressive performances in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, scoring 293 runs in five innings this season. After a brilliant start to her international career, her form began to decline. In 32 ODIs, she has scored 770 runs at an average of 27.50, including one century and five half-centuries. Speaking on her inclusion, head coach Jon Lewis said, “We have selected the same team that finished the series against Pakistan. I think we played some solid 50-over cricket in that series and have had some great results over the last 18 months.

“We welcomed Sophia Dunkley into the squad at the end of the Pakistan series because she has had a fantastic domestic season and has earned the right to be back in this squad through her performances.”
